Asocolflores was created in 1973 like a gremial organization, nonprofit, to represent the growers internationally, primarily on issues of market access, research, transport and "Florverde" that is the hallmark of social and environmental certification.

Mision: "Represent and support producer-exporter of Colombian flower sector, in order to strengthen and achieve sustainable, harmonious and competitive development, as a stable source of employment and generating foreign exchange for the country's progress and its affiliates".

Vision: "ASOCOLFLORES represent, transparent, 90% of exports of fresh flowers, contributing to the design and facilitating mechanisms to increase per capita consumption and increasing American participation in other markets, especially in Europe. Support and require a high commitment to social and environmental responsibility; represent proactively occupational interests at national and international level and generate a high level of satisfaction to the members through the provision of services in value added."
